Gender Based Violence is a serious issue that affects people of all genders, ages, and backgrounds. It includes violence that is committed against someone because of their gender identity, gender expression, or sexual orientation. GBV can take many forms, including physical, sexual, emotional, and psychological violence, as well as economic abuse and stalking. It can happen in any setting, whether it's in the home, at work, or in public spaces. Yesterday, December 10th, marked the end of 16 days of activism against gender-based violence. To celebrate this momentous occasion, She Hive held an event in Leribe, Khanyane. The event was well attended different organizations, who came together to honor the significance of this day. Khathang TEMA Baits'ukuli- KTB Association was part of them. During the event, there were explanations of the Counter Domestic Violence Act 2022, which provides important legal protections for victims of domestic violence. This was a powerful and inspiring event, and it was a privilege to be a part of it.
